The Lancer, a landmark Cleveland restaurant and gathering place for the city's black elite, was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning, December 6. The restaurant opened in 1960.Owner George Dixon says the cause is unknown but "suspicious." He plans to rebuild.
UPDATE: Dixon plans to relocate temporarily to another location while the Lancer is rebuilt.
